FCJ married Louise Russell , who was about 10 years his senior , in the early 1900`s . My father was born at Hill Top House , Delph , near Oldham , in 1907 . When he was about 4 years old , his father disappeared to Canada with his wife`s niece , Winifred Venables . FCJ had a brother , a former Bank Manager ,Jim, who lived with his spinster sister Eva , on Mellor Road , Ashton-Under - Lyme and his two spinster daughters , one of whom was called Dorothy , a librarian.
