Hi there fellow thirty-somethings!! Well, I moved down to Birmingham in the September 1986, and I`m still here!! Four years at Birmingham University doing all manner of convoluted Physics courses, followed by two years at the same institution discovering that I was most certainly NOT suited to scientific research... and then a year`s teacher training. That successful avoidance of the real world for the first 25 years of my life set me up nicely for my current situation - I`ve been Head of Physics at Kings Norton Girls` School in southern Birmingham now for the last eight years, and I am happily rooted in my own cosy little semi- with a temporary French lodger, 3 cats and a tank full of fish (including a mountain shrimp called Mikey). Not exactly the world`s most exciting and thrilling bio, but I`m pretty darn happy with the way things have worked out. Although it would be nice to still be able to go clubbing in Birmingham city centre without hearing ``Hello Mr Wearne!!`` from the dance floor every five minutes... :)||SCHOOL
