My name is Ian Tonks But I was Known (and still am) by the nickname “Tonka”. I served in the RAMC from 1983 as a Combat Med Tech starting like most at Keogh bks, then I headed for BAOR where I did three years with 5ADFA in Munster. In 1986 I moved to DKMH in Catterick and from their back to Keogh in 1990. I was promoted Sergeant in 1991 and later in 1993 I headed down the road to 22 Field Hospital in Aldershot. I left the Services in 1995 were I’m living in Sunny Torquay in Devon. If the above has started the light to swing or you feel you want to pull up a sand bag to swap some old yarns then I would love to here from anyone who may have known me.
